What is Camdol?

Camdol is Acetaminophen (paracetamol), works as pain reliever and fever reducer.

Camdol is used to treat pain or fever caused by many conditions such as headache, muscle aches, arthritis, backache, toothaches, sore throat, colds, and flu. Camdol may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide. Camdol can be used for Adults and Children with appropriate dosage strengths and forms.

How Camdol Works?

Acetaminophen (paracetamol) belongs to a class of drugs called analgesics (pain relievers) and antipyretics (fever reducers). The exact mechanism of action of acetaminophen (paracetamol) is not known. It may reduce the production of prostaglandins in the brain. Prostaglandins are chemicals that cause inflammation and swelling.
Acetaminophen (paracetamol) relieves pain by elevating the pain threshold, that is, by requiring a greater amount of pain to develop before a person feels it. It reduces fever through its action on the heat-regulating center of the brain. Specifically, it tells the center to lower the body's temperature when the temperature is elevated.

What is Camdol used for?

Acetaminophen (paracetamol) is commonly used to provide temporary relief of pain and discomfort associated with:

Headaches (e.g. migraines, tension headaches)
Muscle pain (e.g. strains and sprains, sport injuries)
Period pain
Backache
Toothache
Arthritis (including osteoarthritis)
Cold and flu symptoms
Fever

Liver warning:
This product contains acetaminophen. Severe liver damage may occur if you take

more than 4,000 mg of acetaminophen in 24 hours

with other drugs containing acetaminophen

3 or more alcoholic drinks every day while using this product

Allergy alert:
Acetaminophen may cause severe skin reactions. Symptoms may include:

Skin reddening

Blisters

Rash

If a skin reaction occurs, stop use and seek medical help right away.

Sore throat warning:
if sore throat is severe, persists for more than 2 days, is accompanied or followed by fever, headache, rash, nausea, or vomiting, consult a doctor promptly.

Do not use

with any other drug containing acetaminophen (prescription or nonprescription). If you are not sure whether a drug contains acetaminophen, ask a doctor or pharmacist.

Ask a doctor before use if you have liver disease
